In the past, carpentry with curved and raked walls often required expensive skilled labour resources, and took a lot of time on site. Today, by 3D modelling and manufacturing in panels, complex structures can be quickly assembled on site with fewer and lower skilled trades, enabling cost control.
These walls were delivered in 1.2 m panel kits, needing no cutting. All pieces simply screwed together as per the shop drawings supplied with each panel. Top plates, both raked and curved, would be almost impossible to cut on site.
